Blessings to you. My name is Jeff Schipper. I was baptized into Christ in 1980. I have been the preacher for the Norfolk church of Christ since 2000 and have been honored to be one of the Elders since 2017. I have been married to Debbie since 1978. We have two children and eight Grandchildren. I thank God that he has allowed me to be a shepherd in His church. Jesus is the head of the church; Elders have been given the blessing of being stewards of His church. Ephesians 4:11-16 explains we have been given the responsibility to help in training the saints for works of service and help the body to grow and mature. Part of the duty of an Elder is to be “on guard for yourself and for all the flock”, which is a solemn charge. In all things we want to give glory to God in the church and through His Son, Ephesians 3:21.
