Glenn Wayne Studebaker was born on October 12, 1939, in Jefferson City, MO. He was added to God’s family when he was baptized at the age of 10 during a gospel meeting at his family’s home congregation. Wayne is a Civil Engineer and retired as General Manager of Research and Development for Nucor Corporation in 2006, after 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Board of Directors of York University for 34 years.
In 1966, Wayne moved to Norfolk and joined the church which had only 9 members and met in a rented building on Second Street. He helped the church grow and designed the present building where the church meets today. He has been a member of the Church of Christ his entire life. He became an Elder for the Norfolk church in 1996. He has served as a Bible class teacher, song leader, preacher and Shepherd. He is married to Harriet and has 6 children, 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
